Sharing The Love Of Christmas with a Christmas Blessing

Do you consider yourself a Super Grandparent? I really hope that I will be thought of as a Super Grandparent. To me, a super grandparent is someone who wants the best for their grandchild. The best doesn’t have to be something that is expensive or super time consuming. Super Grandparents are looking for a Christmas gift that a child will use more than once. A super gift is one that brings fun but also lasting impact. When children are little an interest can blossom into a passion. You wouldn’t think so, but a 4-year old can become passionate or obsessed with a topic that they want to learn everything about. My 4 year old boy was obsessed with Blue’s Clues. He really felt like Blue’s Clues was real and he carried around his handy-dandy notebook, looking for clues. When children love a certain thing, parents and Super Grandparents can take that idea and run with it. It’s so much fun to take an interest of a child and use that to build greater understanding of the topic. We did that when we were homeschooling and it was fun and very educational to the entire family. Our daughter loved the stars and so I introduced her to constellations. She loved it and took her maps of the stars outside and we looked for Orion and the other shapes. Learning about basic shapes is a perfect introduction to geometry that will help children when they start school. A Magnetic Shapes Activity Box allows the child to learn to identify the shapes and use their creativity to make unlimited pictures with the shapes. Children won’t tire of this type of game and super grandparents will be so proud of the child and can brag on the artistic abilities. Young girls usually love unicorns, and if your granddaughter is one of them that does, it would be wise to buy a holiday gift that has a unicorn theme. You could get a unicorn coloring book or stuffed animal, but there are other gifts that would give more creativity and educational benefit. The Unicorn Felt Sewing Kit is made for ages 3+ and is so adorable. A child can complete 4 projects with pre-cut felt and punched holes. The colorful set is one that little girls will love. Another creative gift is the classic Lite-Brite game. With over 200 colorful plastic pegs, children can follow instructions to make pre-designed pictures or create their very own designs. Children have loved playing with this for many decades. Super Grandparents remember playing with Lite-Brite and will have a blast showing their granddaughter how to play with it. Games that burn a lot of energy and that can be used over and over are the best. Super Grandparents love to get their grandchildren having fun and getting their wiggles out. A toy like the Scavenger Hunt Game can be the perfect solution. This game has a spinner, timer, and stack of cards. The children must spin and then draw a card. Then the timer is set and the children playing must run to find the object on the card. There are going to be lots of happy squeals when the children laugh as they search for the object on the card. The colored lights will look lovely under a festive Christmas tree. If you want to be a Super Grandparent, the easiest place to find the perfect gift is online. The child learned his lesson It is so easy and exciting to be a Super Grandparent.

Christmas came quick this year!! At least it feels that way when everywhere you turn there are signs of Christmas all around, yet we haven’t even gotten to Thanksgiving yet. It seems the Christmas season starts earlier and earlier every year.

It IS the most wonderful time of the year after all, so why not celebrate for as long as we can, right?! To help celebrate this Christmas season, I’m teaming up with a group of amazing bloggers to bring you the 10th annual Christmas Blessings Giveaway!!

I can’t believe we have been blessing families for TEN years!! We all love doing this and we look forward to it every year! While the giveaway has changed and evolved a bit over the years, many of participating bloggers have stayed the same – so many generous and dedicated women are behind this giveaway.

This year we will have FOUR winners!! Each winner will get a $200 gift card to wherever they choose – a restaurant, clothing store, grocery store, online retailer – any place that offers gift cards! There are lots of entry options in the Rafflecopter form below – the more you enter, the better your chance of winning!  I know it can seem tedious and time consuming to go through all the entries, but isnโ€™t a chance at $200 worth it? I think it is!

Plus, all of these amazing bloggers donated their own money towards the prizes, so this giveaway wouldn’t be possible without them.  I hope you’ll take the time to check out each one. Who knows, maybe you will find some new blogs to follow.

The giveaway will run from Monday, November 13th through Wednesday, November 22nd (ends at 11:59pm ET). Winner will be notified by email shortly after the giveaway ends and will have 48 hours to respond to claim the prize or another winner will be drawn. While I do not have children, I am the oldest of 7 siblings and I helped with the my younger siblings because my parents did not have outside help and there is only less than 11 yrs between myself and the youngest. I help out with my nieces and nephews as well because of health issues of my siblings and or the circumstances that came up. It is always so interesting to see what a child becomes interested in as they grow up.
