Anthem Lights Cartoon

Anthem Lights is a great band with wonderful vocals that are moving and uplifting. Uplighting music is definitely my favorite and I love the gospel lyrics. One of my favorites is called Coming Home. This gives a Christian testimony that everyone can relate to. Here are the words:

I breathe out and then exhale, what was left of my pride?
Full of myself I have failed. What have I done with my life?
The fog has lifted I can finally see Your face
Through all the hurting, and all the searching I have found my place

Once I was broken, but now I’m mended
Once I was king of my own land, now my reign has ended
I bow my knee to the one who saved me
Once I was dying on my own
But God this wandering soul is coming home

No longer on an empty road, in You my heart has found its rest
The trust I stole I am giving up
So take control I’m not strong enough
Better late than never now until forever, I’m where I belong

Once I was broken, but now I’m mended
Once I was king of my own land, now my reign has ended
I bow my knee to the one who saved me
Once I was dying on my own
But God this wandering soul is coming home
Coming home, coming home

I turned the corner and what did I see?
The father I abandoned running to me
With arms opened wide and love in His eyes
He cried as He said welcome home.

Once I was broken, but now I’m mended
Once I was king of my own land, now my reign has ended
I bow my knee to the one who saved me
Once I was dying on my own
But God this wandering soul is coming home
Coming home, I’m coming home

I’m coming home

Another of the songs that really speaks to me is called Follow Your Heart. The modern age tells us to follow our heart and it will lead us to the right things for us. But, God knows we must follow Him in order to walk the path He has for us. You’ll see what I mean by reading the lyrics of this great song.

“Follow Your Heart”

Some say follow your own heart
And it will never lead you astray
Some say chase your own dreams
That’s all that matters anyway
Well I’ve been there, done that, tried that, lived that
Way like it it was all for me
And I came back, found out, truth is, turns out
To get me where I’m meant to be

[Chorus:]
I’ve gotta follow your heart
If anything is gonna count in this life
I’ve gotta follow your heart
If I’m ever gonna make a mark on eternity
So let heaven’s heartbeat always move me
Let my only prayer be
To follow your heart
Help me follow your heart

I don’t need a second opinion
You just say the word I’ll go (you just say the word I’ll go)
And I don’t need any convincing
To walk along the narrow road (walk along a narrow road)
Cause I’m all in, sold out, can’t turn, back now
These are more than empty words (these are more than empty words)
For the things that, I want, I trust, you God
I’ll just keep the first thing first

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
I count it all as joy
To give this life away, away
There’s not a cost too high
Or price that I won’t pay

To follow your heart (follow your heart)
Follow your heart (follow your heart)
Gotta follow your heart (follow your heart)
Help me follow your heart

I’ve gotta follow your heart
If anything is gonna count in this life
I’ve gotta follow your heart
If I’m ever gonna make a mark on eternity
So let heaven’s heartbeat always move me
Let my only prayer be
Your heart
Follow your heart
Help me follow your heart (follow your heart)
Help me follow your heart
Help me follow your heart
Help me follow your heart
Follow you heart

I’m very excited about Anthem Lights having a show on Pure Flix. I’ve shared many wonderful family and Christian television from Pure Flix and this is going to be another exciting one. Pure Flix’s new venture into original animated content for kids/adults is wonderful!
