Are You Planning For Christmas?

It’s only 67 days until Christmas! I really just want to celebrate autumn and the lovely trees, but I have to admit that there aren’t many days to get all the shopping done. Even worse, the costs are very high. I’ll need to stick to my budget this year.

After I plan the amount of money we have to spend at Christmas, then I have to divide it so I’ll know how much per gift. That’s not a fun task, because I know we’re spending less this year than ever before. I’ll need to think carefully about the gift choices and then compare prices everywhere I can.

I know that Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer deals and free shipping. I am planning to shop locally, as much as possible. I also need to mail gifts out-of-state much sooner than last year.

Last year the holidays came so fast! I just wasn’t ready. I have many health problems, so when I’m hurting too much I don’t get anything done. I’m going to try to make a calendar and spread out all the Christmas tasks, so that the to-do list doesn’t hit me all at once.

It’s very smart to use your planner to record every school, church, or community event that you plan to attend. Meal planning is very important. It becomes very easy to get takeout or cook a frozen pizza too often. Nobody will feel well if they don’t have good nutrition. Planning gives you the opportunity to have simple healthy meals.
