Do you feel as though you are deficient in certain vitamins? If so, then you have come to the right place. This guide will help you to find out if you can do anything to try and boost your levels while also finding out if your health issues are the result of your diet. Find out more here.
Brittle Nails and Hair
There are so many different factors that can easily cause brittle hair or even nails. One of them is if you have a lack of biotin. This is otherwise known as Vitamin B7. If you are low in this particular vitamin, then you will soon find that it is hard for your body to convert food into energy. If you have this deficiency, then you will soon find that you have thinning hair, splitting nails and chronic fatigue. You may also have tingling in your hands and feet. If you feel as though you have been experiencing hearing loss and sound issues, then you may be low in Vitamin B12 as well which is another major issue that a lot of people have. Try and take a supplement to see if your condition improves.
Mouth Ulcers
Lesions around the mouth may be due to an insufficient intake of certain minerals. Mouth ulcers may mean that you are low in iron. If you experience this along with fatigue, then you have to do what you can to increase your intake of dark leafy greens. It is also a good idea for you to make sure that you are eating plenty of poultry as well as eggs, starchy vegetables, and seeds. If you add these to your diet, then you can see if your symptoms improve. If they do not, then you should try and see your doctor to see if they can help you with that.
Poor Night Vision
If you have a diet that does not contain a lot of nutrients, then this can also lead to a number of vision problems. If you have a very low intake of Vitamin A, then this can be linked to night blindness. When this happens, you may find it very hard to see in periods of darkness or low light. The main reason for this is primarily because Vitamin A is required for your body to create rhodopsin. This is a pigment that is in the retina of your eye, and it helps you to see at night. If you do not get this treated, then it is possible for it to turn into a condition known as xerophthalmia which can actually damage your cornea, leading to even more blindness. This is the last thing you need, so it is imperative that you do what you can to combat this by taking steps to incorporate more vegetables into your diet. If you can do this, then you will soon see a huge improvement. If you don’t, then you should try and have a chat with your doctor to see if they can give you some help and support with your issues.
