In this blog post, we will discuss three reasons why it is essential to support missionaries today. Not only do they bring the good news to those who have never heard it before, but they also demonstrate acts of service in the local communities that they enter. Despite facing many challenges, missionaries remain committed to following God’s calling and bringing others closer to Him through their work. Engagement with Unreached Peoples One of the primary goals of missionaries is to bring the message of salvation to those who have never heard it before. This includes engaging with unreached people groups, defined as communities or ethnicities with no sustained access to the Gospel. To do this, missionaries often spend time getting to know and understand the cultures of these people groups to connect them with God’s Word better. Through prayer, evangelism, and teaching, they strive to impact their lives by introducing them to a faith-filled life centered around Jesus Christ. Building Strong Local Churches In addition to sharing the Gospel with unreached people, missionaries also work hard to build strong local churches wherever they go. MY REVIEW This movie was unexpectedly deep in the portrayal of the true story of the writing of the hymn, “We Three Kings.” We have all sung this song in church and it’s best to sing all the verses. John Henry Hopkins, Jr wrote this and many other great hymns, but this one was one of the first Christmas hymns written in America. This movie was beautifully acted out with three of the stars being the children in the church. Their mother had died and they were close to their cousins. The movie was staged in lovely Victorian homes and churches. The costuming was lovely. One of my favorite things is the way they showed how children were expected to behave in that time period. Children in the church were taught to be reverend and had some funny mistakes that taught them a good lesson. I love true movies and at the end the actual characters in the story were presented with more facts and information about their lives. I would love to watch this one again and share it with my family and friends. Don’t forget to pack your sunglasses and sunscreens on a sunny day. Fishing with your family will be a good activity to consider if you are fortunate to live near a lake. It is a great way to unplug from the world and bond as a family. It can also be an opportunity to teach the kids some life skills while basking in nature.
