This is such a beautiful time of year! Our trees are changing colors and they’re just gorgeous. The weather is cooler and it makes me feel calmer. I’m not really a pumpkin spice everything, but I certainly love a hot (or cold) slice of delicious pumpkin bread. I really need to make one…yum!
What does October mean to you? Sometimes it can be a very busy month for parents. There are many events at school, church, and other parties. Kids get very excited about dressing up and getting candy. It’s a time when parents have to keep order and hold on to things so pure chaos doesn’t rule the day! (Yes, I can get a little dramatic when talking about kids and candy)

I usually dress up as either a witch or a gypsy and go out trick-or-treating with my grandkids. It is unclear if I will do that this year as I haven’t been feeling well for awhile now and we will have to see how I am feeling by the end of this month
My three favorite Halloween candies are Tootsie Rolls, Reisen’s and $100,000 Grand bars (I make the distinction because if it were Christmas or Valentine’s Day, chocolate truffles would be at the top of that list) and although candy corn did not make the list, I do like it as well
