For years I have found that these software programs have helped me to be creative and make many types of attractive and professional designs. You can create whatever you want and make it yours by using the large assortment of icons, modules, pictures, shapes, colors, and patterns. If you prefer to use all the available features there are paid plans. These can be paid monthly or annually (saving 50%). You don’t know where to start? Well, no problem! Because there are no skills needed, you don’t have to be afraid of the words graphic design. The software will guide you through the steps very easily. You can start by first selecting a template. Then you just click on your choices and before you know it, you’ve created a beautiful presentation. There are so many resources available at DESIGNCAP. There are Learning Resources that show you exactly how to do everything and wonderful ideas to inspire your creativity. Support is always available and FAQ’s will answer most questions that you may have. I’ve been enjoying the software for the past week. It’s been so much fun and easy. The design of the website is similar to other graphic software sites. But, I’ve found so many features here that I haven’t seen on other sites. I especially love the modules that are perfect for designing all types of reports, checklists, and more. The social icons and other modules are so advanced! How To Keep Your Family Strong In A Crisis

Keeping your family strong during a crisis, such as the pandemic, isn’t always an easy task. When life is extremely stressful we need to be intentional with our togetherness strategies. Families can actually become stronger and closer during the pandemic or anytime. During stress, each member of the family may experience different emotions and reactions. Because of differences in ages and personalities, each member may change from their normal ways of dealing and coping. We need to be aware of that and be patient with each other. Very young children won’t understand a crisis in the same way older children, teens, or adults do. They may just act out and want more physical affection. Reassuring hugs and cuddle time will do a lot to keep them feeling safe and happy. Taking breaks from work or school to hold them, rock them, or read them there favorite book 5 times in a row will be good. Older children will do better if you explain the changes in the home in a very simple way. They don’t need to know all the reality of a pandemic, but telling them that for a little while we will all do things in a new way, is reassuring. Children, especially those with any cognitive challenges, need to be told in advance that something will be different. Letting them know that everything is alright and that you are there to comfort them is important for their wellbeing. Teens can definitely get very moody on a good day. When they aren’t able to get out and hang with friends, they may respond in negative ways. Help them cope by having frank discussions about: the brevity of the situation, there is an end in sight, unselfishness, giving them a little space, and how they can help the family, community, and others. Teens love a mission. Help them find a mission so that they can channel their energy into something positive. Many families are now living with their adult children. College students are home and trying to do college classes online. They may feel very frustrated with their situation. As I know from experience, switching to online classes is lacking in many ways. Try to encourage them and help them find ideas and strategies to finish strong. They might not have their typical summer jobs or outlets to feel like adults. Try to come up with ways for them to feel some independence while also letting them know that their contribution to the family is also helpful. Adult children will need their own space as well as good technology to complete the school year. If mom and dad are working online and the children are working online, the internet needs may exceed your abilities. If you can, upgrade your internet service to help. With our family, we have the highest speed in our area. Sometimes this isn’t adequate. When this happens, we alternate our streaming. That way everyone isn’t online at the same time. If the family has a member or other loved one who is sick or has passed because of the virus, there are obviously times of grief ahead. Coming together to grieve is necessary and outside resources will probably be needed. Be willing to accept help and care from others. Hopefully, there will be a broader family (church, friends, counselors) that can assist the family. If we can all be intentionally unselfish then we can get along and actually get stronger. Families are just a group of people with varied relationships. Try to be grateful and teach gratefulness. It can be really contagious. Try to laugh together and find ways to have fun. Make sure to have margin in your days. We all need breaks. Enjoy these times of togetherness. Bible Journals or Bible Journaling

For those of us who read the Bible, we know that there are many ways to read and study the scriptures. I’ve always read the Bible and have often used themed study guides, workbooks, and Bible Journals. A few years ago a trend started, called Bible Journaling. Let’s learn the difference in the two and how to use both methods in a frugal way. What is the basic reason to use a journal or journal in the Bible itself? Christians study the Bible to understand the scriptures. We want to know what God has said in his word. The more we study the Bible, the better we will remember it and be able to live out the commands of scripture. Bible Journals When I was growing up, children went to Sunday School where we were given small booklets. In these booklets we had lessons. Each week before going to Sunday School we were to read the lesson and fill in the blanks (workbook style). Then, the teacher would go over the lesson with us and there would be discussion time. This was a great way to teach young people how to learn from the Bible. As an adult, keeping a Bible journal was a new idea. It was basically an empty notebook that you kept with your Bible. Anything that was important to you could be written in the journal. Some people like to write an outline-style and then fill in notes that they wanted to remember. Some of us liked to just write down whatever we felt were the highlights. These Bible Journals could be anything from a spiral bound notebook to a leather bound blank book. Now, there are journals of every type available in department stores, online stores, and Christian book stores. The sky is the limit on cost and design. Everyone can select what fits their wallet and/or artistic tastes. Whatever you write in your journal is obviously more important than whether or not it’s inexpensive paper or the finest in leather. We know that it’s also not what God cares about. He looks at the heart. Here are a few types that you can check out: Hardcover Spiral Lined Journal – 32 different covers to choose from $9.99 Paperback Journal with categories $5.99 Leather Lined Journal $26.95 Dotted Grid Journal $8.99 These are just a few. If you want to start a Bible Journal, you might prefer to get more than one. If you like taking notes, you will probably fill one in quickly. If you like to have things that match it would be attractive to have them in the same style. Bible Journaling Bible Journaling refers to journaling inside your Bible. I think one of the top benefits of journaling in your Bible is that your notes will always be with your Bible. Separate journals can get misplaced and easily complicate things. Remembering to take your extra journal with you when you go to church, Bible study, or travel isn’t always easy. Another benefit of journaling in the Bible is that each time you turn to a page with notes/journaling, you’ll see what you wrote before. This will bring to mind what you learned the last time you were studying the same passage of scriptures. That just won’t happen if the specific notebook/journal you wrote in isn’t with you each time. When I first learned that people were drawing and writing in their Bibles, I didn’t exactly like the idea. It seemed wrong to write or draw all over the pages of the Bible. But, then I was reminded of the early copies of the Bible and how scribes would use illustrations and beautiful colors and penmanship to make the Bible lovely. This made me favor the idea. Some people like to just underline, highlight, or make small notes in the margins of their Bible. Others have drawn lovely pictures as well. I’ve seen the artwork go right over the passages, but only drawn lightly. In this way, it’s still easy to read all the words. Another great way to do journaling in your Bible is to get a wide margin Bible or a special Journaling Bible. These give plenty of extra space to create whatever you want on each page. Then, black and white or vivid colors can be drawn or colored in with special pens or colored pencils. Here are a few examples: There are so many more styles and translations out there. I’m sure you will find one that you like. Whether you like using a Bible Journal or a Journaling Bible, the important thing is that: Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.
