  1. We used to have a family gathering every Easter at my Aunt’s home. She passed away a couple of years ago and that tradition came to an end.

  2. We are a military family, so our traditions are ever changing. We have a 6yo, so we for sure dye Easter eggs and have an Easter egg hunt for the past 3 or 4 years.

  3. We usually have a family meal together with a ham served. When they were young, the children had Easter baskets and eggs hunts. Now the grandchildren have the same!

  4. No traditions but I do remember as a kid my mom painting eggs and hiding them all around the house and it was such a joy looking for them. Being an adult and my mom no longer alive I wish I could just go back to those fun times and be a child again.

  5. I remember the egg hunts with my older brothers. Great memories. Now I watch their kids hunt via internet. I still bake the lamb-shaped pound cakes that my mother always made.

  6. My children are all grown, so we just do an Easter dinner now. When they were small we always hosted the family Easter egg hunt.

  7. We all go to early mass and then to my home for a large family special dinner… In my youth my parents and I used to travel down to Florida to spend it with her brother…

  8. Yes, we have many Easter traditions. We are Greek Orthodox Christian, and one of my favorites is dying our Easter Eggs red!. When Easter comes you take your egg and hold it firm in your hand, and someone else holding theirs knocks yours. The game is to see whose doesn’t break!

  9. We had an Easter tradition when the kids were young: Easter egg hunt, basket full of goodies, Easter dinner. Now that it’s just hubby and I, we don’t do anything, unless we see the grandkids.

  10. On Easter morning, the Easter bunny still leaves baskets at the foot of everyone’s beds for anyone who still lives at home. (Almost foolproof we won’t be empty nesters lol)

  11. Yes, we celebrate Easter by going to church and then coming home for dinner. Before the pandemic, we would go out to eat after church but I feel safer just coming home to eat now. Also, we end our fasting of things to make our relationship closer to God so it could be food, social media, etc anything to let go and enhance our relationship with God. Thanks so much!

  12. Going to church for Easter Sunday and home to enjoy a nice brunch together and egg-decorating, always so much fun with family!

  13. Growing up, my Mom would always bake a large homemade 3-layer cake with white frosting, coconut flakes, and, decorated with fondant eggs for Easter…otherwise, we had the usual baked ham for dinner, chocolates, etc….
