Author Jeremy Pierre and illustrator Cassandra Clark want to awaken children to a brave journey – a journey home. This world is not our home. We live east of Eden and short of Heaven. The earlier children understand this, the more sense they can make out of this sad, wonderful place. This storybook aims to share their vision of the world as a place in-between, to awaken them to the brave journey they must take toward their true home – their home with God.
Reviews
“God with Us delivers truth with imagination, creativity, and beautiful illustrations.
The gospel message becomes clearer with every turn of the page. Like a symphony
of truth that crescendos to the final fanfare, God with Us ends with a finale that
connects the gospel dots and offers an invitation to believe. Bravo and well done!”
—Marty Machowski, Pastor and author of The Ology, Wonderful, Long Story Short,
and other gospel-centered resources for church and home
“This is a beautiful re-telling of the most beautiful story ever told.”

Reading Well: Finding the Good Life through Great Books
My Review
This book tells us many stories from the Bible from the perspective of two angels. They tell each story as if they are talking to us….the reader. The large pages are covered in modern artistic paintings of the actions and characters in each story. The beautiful muted colors show the glory of God’s creation.
The book separates each story as a chapter with scripture references to follow. I like the stories chosen in the book, as they are the main parts of the Bible that we all learned in Sunday School. Tedd Tripp writes a glowing review in the book, so that makes me believe that it is theologically sound. This book is written for parents to read to their children. Following the theme of the Presence of God, I believe that children will sense the wonder of God as they read about the Journey Home that we all live.
