As the cold weather thaws thanks to spring, we can start seeing more sunshine which means warmer nights. However, knowing how to dress your baby in fluctuating temperatures can be just as confusing as the weather itself. But, no need to consistently check if your baby is too hot or too cold for the foreseeable future. Instead, let’s take a look at Nested Bean where you can find everything you need to make baby comfortable.

Nested Bean was developed after a simple act of a mother putting her hand on her baby’s chest with a stuffed animal and it resulted in her baby sleeping under the gentle pressure. This, in turn, got the mom thinking, and after tons of research and consulting with doctors and pediatric pulmonologists, the world’s first gently weighted swaddle, and Nested Bean was born!

As of today, Nested Bean’s reach has grown and so have their array of products that can help you and your baby get a restful sleep in any temperature. But before we can discuss the proper sleepwear, we must first go over TOG (thermal overall grade).

It’s not a crazy new-age baby gadget, TOG is the standard to measure how much heat a garment retains. Sleep bags are labeled with a TOG level to let you know which one you should dress your baby in depending on the season to avoid overheating in the summer or keep them warm in colder weather.

Since spring weather isn’t as obvious as summer and winter, it’s good to keep a range of 0.5 to 1.5 when considering sleepwear. This range will help with fluctuating temperatures and keep your baby comfortable. And, Nested Beans’ classic line of sleepwear is a perfect choice.

With a 0.5 TOG, the Zen Sack™ Classic is made from 100% cotton, which makes it super breathable. This sack will grow with your child and keep the sleepers that rollover safe and features adjustable snaps and a 2-way zipper for easy diaper changes.

Another 0.5 TOG option is the Zen Footie PJ™ that’s perfect for year-round comfort. Also great for on-the-go occasions, this PJ can be worn in car seats, strollers, or swings with a harness. This will make your life much easier.

Moving on up to a 1.0 TOG, we’ve got the Nested Bean’s NEW Zen Neo™ and Zen One™ Classic. Both swaddles are made with breathable, high-quality cotton and help keep baby comfortable all night long. More of a traditional type of swaddle, the Zen Neo™ is loaded with parent-friendly features that make swaddling dramatically easier and keeps your baby snug with a womblike pod design. The Zen One™ features detachable mesh sleeves that can keep your baby’s arms from flailing when attached, but when detached, your baby can freely move their arms with no restrictions.

Best for newborns who like to be wrapped snugly to prevent startle reflex, and have not yet started rolling over, the Zen Swaddle® features a 1.5 TOG. This gently weighted swaddle mimics your touch on baby’s chest and sides, leaving your little one feeling comforted and secure, like in your embrace.
