Don’t you love the soft glow of lamps versus the bright overhead lights in your home? With dusk’s appearing, the first thing I do is turn on the lamps around my living room. The softer lighting brings a warmth to evening and helps us all to relax. My new Maxwell LED Brightech Floor Lamp is the most lovely lamp I have.
This is the second lamp we’ve reviewed from Brightech and we couldn’t be happier with them both. The first lamp is much bigger and modern, and has held up beautifully (even through our move across the country).
This modern lamp we received today is a slim floor lamp with handy decorative shelves. There are three shelves that are useful for small decor items or a few books. The top is a beautiful Asian-style shade which filters the LED bulb, which is included. There is a dainty chain pull chord to turn off the light.
It was easy to put together and came with all the necessary parts. The Maxwell works with Alexa and smart home devices, but it needs to be connected to a smart plug to work that way. There are a few versions of the Maxwell: a shorter table lamp, a floor lamp with drawers, and a floor lamp with USB charging ports.
This floor lamp is 63 inches high and the square-shape is 10.2 inches. It fits well in small spaces and works well as a night-stand. Using the charging port Maxwell, it would be perfect for charging electronics at night. No matter what room you use it in, the soft warm glow of this lamp will be perfect.
My living room is slightly modern/eclectic and the lamp looks amazing in the corner. This contemporary lamp would also look terrific in mid-century, modern, farmhouse, and country rooms. So, if you make changes to your style you’ll be glad to know that this lamp will work.
The wood floor lamp comes in a variety of colors and tones. The lamp comes in a classic black color as well as these shades of brown: Havanah Brown, Walnut Brown, and Natural Wood. So, you can find the color that works best with your existing furniture.

We have a light similar to this but ours looks flimsy. These are great for putting thing on shelves.
Our light feels sturdy, but I wouldn’t put heavy items on the shelves 🙂

It’s been great for us. This particular lamp isn’t as bright as many reading lamps. Brightech has many wonderful floor lamps that are brighter.
The lamp is really unique. I like how it doubles as a shelf, and it looks great, too.
