Laundry Detergent

I’ve been focusing more on recycling at my house lately. It’s easy to recycle mixed paper or cardboard, but so many other things get thrown in the trash can. I hate filling up the landfills with plastic, so I’ve doubled down on my efforts to recycle plastic, glass, and cans.

It takes a little more time to rinse out these types of items, but I’m glad when I can do a little bit to help the environment. I don’t want to pass down overflowing landfills to my grandchildren. I wish there was a recycle pick-up in my neighborhood, but there isn’t one now.

Our closest drop-off center that takes all of these types of recyclables is fifteen minutes away and on a gravel road. So, that’s just too far. We found a few places to drop off everything except plastic. I’m now on the search for a plastic drop-off bin. I’m sure there is one somewhere nearby.

Because of many chemical sensitives that cause me headaches, rashes, and anaphylaxis, I have long used unscented products to clean my home. I’ve tried replacing all the chemicals with more natural products. It has made a big difference in my health and everything still gets just as clean.

Although I’m happy to recycle all the containers that cleaners come in, I would rather not have to haul off so many items. We know that some plastic things that are recycled don’t actually get recycled. Many of them end up in the landfill, because manufacturers don’t want to fool with the products to use in their factories. Numbers 1 and 2 are usually recycled, but 3, 4, and 5’s are often dumped in the landfill.

I’ve recently found another company called Dropps. They are committed to eliminating single-use plastics. Their packaging is waste free. I received the Laundry Detergent and Dishwasher Detergent. The design of their packaging is brilliant and simple.

In a small cardboard box I found another cardboard box that opened into the product itself. After tearing at the perforated lines, I found that I had two small cardboard boxes. Inside each one were the cute little pods. The clear pod contained liquid cleaner. I just dropped one in my washing machine and then added the clothes, as usual. My clothes came out clean and they smelled so fresh!

I tried the Citrus scent. This product is great for sensitive skin and my clothes felt great on my body. No rashes or headaches. I love using non-toxic products for my family and home. Check out their referral and rewards programs!

Dishwasher pods

The Dishwashing Pods from Dropps were packaged exactly the same as the Laundry Pods. These non-toxic cleaning pods are dropped into the dishwashers soap space and then run the machine as usual. I loved how well the Laundry pods cleaned every dish and glass. And, now when all the pods are gone all I have to do is fold down the box and recycle it. So Simple and So clean!

If you want to try Dropps like I did, I have two codes to help you save money!

Use code CONTENT25 – it is for 25% off new customers and does not expire.

Or, use code CONTENT15 – it is 15% off for existing customers and also does not expire.
