What would you say to getting super-fresh Sourdough bread delivered to your door? I would say YES! I love bread and I bet you do, too. I’m always excited about reviewing new products, but this time I can truly say that I’m In Love with Wildgrain. This small company in Boston is passionate about creating slow fermented sourdough breads, artisanal pastries, and pasta.

When the Wildgrain box arrived at my door I couldn’t have been more thrilled. The huge box was packaged with dry ice and was filled with amazing frozen breads, pastries, and pasta. I’ve had the joy of cooking these breads, following the simple directions on each loaf’s package.

All that is needed to enjoy this bread is to preheat my oven, placing the frozen loaf directly on the oven shelf, and baking for less than 20 minutes. Then, the heavenly bread goes into my mouth! Wow! What gorgeous and delectable breads! And, don’t get me started on the pastries. My box contained 6 Orange-Cranberry biscuits that were to die for!

The pasta is fresh made and quick frozen. All I had to do was boil some water and then drop in the frozen noodles. In 7 minutes, I ate the most delicious pasta I’ve ever eaten. The freshness difference gave it such wholesome flavor and cooked to a perfect al dente.

Wildgrain is a subscription box service. Each month you’ll get a new box with all the special breads, pastries, and pastas. But, you don’t have to worry about a long-term commitment. You can change delivery dates, pause delivery, or cancel at any time. But, you will never want to cancel this subscription box.

Each box comes with free shipping and plenty of dry ice to keep the product totally frozen. One of my favorite things about Wildgrain is that you never have to thaw anything. Everything cooks directly from it’s frozen state and will be ready to eat in about 25 minutes. You’ll be able to quickly get this delicious bread on your table quickly any day of the week.

Sourdough bread’s fermentation helps to digest the gluten, so many people with gluten sensitivities are able to eat this sourdough bread. The prebiotics help to keep your gut healthy. Wildgrain doesn’t use cheap ingredients but uses fiber-rich bran, proteins, and vitamin-rich germs. Your supermarket bread doesn’t provide you with the same nutrition.

The box I received contained:

Sourdough Rosemary Garlic Bread

Sourdough Bread

Sourdough Whole Wheat Bread

Sourdough 7-Grain Bread

Orange-Cranberry Biscuits

Fresh Tonnarelli

Fresh Fettuccine

And, guess what? They were all so scrumptious! The breads were hearty, rich, and flavorful. The biscuits were the perfect denseness and just the right amount of natural sweetness. The pasta was amazingly fresh and delicious. I recommend them all and hope that you’ll try Wildgrain for yourself. You won’t be sorry.

  2. Freshly baked bread and it’s aroma are difficult to resist and it is easy to eat too much. For those of us who are overweight shop bought bread that tastes like cardboard or cotton wool has the advantage that there is less temptation to eat too much.
